X-RAY Photoemission Spectra And Electronic Structure Of R3Co11B4 (R=Nd, Gd) Compounds

Description
The X-ray photoemission spectra (XPS) of Gd3Co11B4 is presented. We have found a good agreement between the experimental valence band spectra and the calculated density of states convoluted by Lorentzian s of half-width 0.4 eV. The ab-initio band calculations have shown that the magnetic moments on Co atoms strongly depended on the local environment. (Authors)
