Radiation hazard monitoring in 131I therapy in and out clinic

Description
The work presents a statistical analysis of a technique of preparing 131I doses used in the treatment of thyroid diseases (between 1965 and 1976). Radiation hazard to the personnel and that to the patients as well as the radioactive waste disposal are also discussed. The authors emphasize the need for a wider use of out clinic therapy and the application of 131I capsules in therapy. (author)
