Description
Dependence of short-wave Farley-Buneman instability boundary in the ionosphere auroral plasma on the electric field value, electron density and altitude in ionosphere is investigated. It is found that the minimum length of linearly instable wave is equal to 10 cm. It is shown that nonlinear generation of waves with scales twice as small is possible as a result of three-wave interaction processes. Based on the analysis performed, results of radiolocation observations in the centimeter range are satisfactorily described
