Description

Samples of solid solutions of the zirconium dioxide stabilized by yttrium, ytterbium, scandium and calcium oxides have been investigated. The crystal lattice parameter of cubic solid solutions on the base of the zirconium dioxide stabilized by yttrium, ytterbium and calcium oxides is shown to increase with the increase of their contents and it is not practically changed for ZrO2-Sc2O3 solid solutions. Decrease of X-ray density is observed in Y2O3, Sc2O3, CaO solid solutions in the zirconium dioxide with the increase of the contents of stabilizing additions. Increase of X-ray density is marked for ZrO2-Yb2O3 solid solutions with the ytterbium oxide concentration growth. Introduction of 9-13% of stabilizing oxides into the zirconium dioxide provides high density characteristics of ceramics
