Electroplastic deformation of zinc, cadmium and lead crystals

Description
Effect of electric current pulses during tensile strain was studied on cadmium, lead and zinc monocrystals. Different values of deformation stress fall for investigated metals, providing similar conditions of deformation and electric effect, are determined. Electric pulses are found to produce an athermal softening effect on metals besides thermal one
