Magnetic characteristics of (R,R')/sub 2/Fe/sub 14/B systems (R = Nd, R' = Er,Dy)
- 1. MEMS Dept. and Magnetics Technology Center, Carnegie-Mellon Univ., Pittsburgh, PA 15213
Description
(R,R')/sub 2/Fe/sub 14/B compounds (R = Nd, R' = Er,Dy) were prepared from high purity rare earths obtained from the Ames Laboratory. The magnetic behavior of (R,R')/sub 2/Fe/sub 14/B compounds is reported in a large temperature range. The effects of Nd substitution by Er and Dy on the saturation magnetization, Curie temperature, anisotropy and spin reorientation temperature are presented. The spin reorientation temperature is lowered by Dy substitution and raised by Er substitution
