Creators
Description
Forty Member States of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) carry out fusion research and development. A list is given of IAEA collaborative fusion research programmes which have ranged from small experiments to the design of a large thermonuclear reactor. Some details are presented of the IAEA involvement in this latter project, the International Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor (ITER) project. Prospects for future collaboration are reviewed. (UK)
