Estimated parameters of a magnetostatic collective accelerator with electron rings

Description

Parameters of the magnetostatic acceleration tract of the collective ion accelerator with electron rings are estimated. The limitations on the choice of parameters from coupling resonances of transverse oscillations of electrons and ions, coherent azimuthal instabilities, decrease in the frequency of longitudinal electron oscillations during the acceleration and other effects are taken into consideration. Transfer electron energy to ions is also considered. Parameters of high-current proton accelerators with the energy from 50 MeV to 1 GeV and those of uranium ion accelerator with energy to 150/200 MeV per nucleon are estimated
