The Drell-Yan process at tau->1
Description
The tau->1 limit of the Drell-Yan process is considered in the LLA of QCD. The process is shown to be infrared stable since the large transverse momenta of the spectator quarks dominate the cross section. The total cross section, including the preexponent factor is calculated. The transverse momentum distribution is also obtained. (orig.)
