Effects of ionizing radiation on populations and ecosystems: theoretical approach and examples
Description
The theoretical analysis and classification is presented of compensatory mechanisms in nature which promote the survival of populations and ecosystems exposed to ionizing radiation. The sensitive ecological parameters are determined and their relative importance for the survival of populations and ecosystems. The effects of ionizing radiation observed in natural ecosystems after the Chernobyl and Kyshtym accidents are discussed
