The conversion width of the Σ- and Ξ-hyperons in nuclei and the one-meson exchange

Description

The conversion width in nuclear matter for Σ and Ξ is estimated in the frame of the one-meson exchange model. A considerable reduction in the width for Σ results if additional mesons besides π are taken into account. The expected width for Ξ is about 3 MeV. (author)
