Description
Studies of CP-violation from new physics typically are performed within the framework of specific models, however, a model-independent investigation is possible using the technique of effective lagrangians. All CP-violating experiments for the foreseeable future may be treated in this way. We apply the effective lagrangian formalism to the decay η→2π and demonstrate that the present bound on the neutron electric dipole moment implies that B (η→2π) <10-15. In anticipation of forthcoming experiments we also catalogue the bounds obtained from present limits on lepton e.d.m's
