Two-dimensional curve fitting in counting experiments

Creators

Description

The author's (Awaya) method is applied to a two-dimensional curve fitting to the generated data with normal and Poisson errors in abcissa and ordinate, respectively. The method is compared with the least-squares one. It is concluded that the latter introduces significant deviations as the total counts decrease and the former gives good results. (orig.)
