Organpreserving surgery in the complex therapy for children's primary bone malignancies
Creators
Description
Organpreserving surgical operations on lower limbs of 16 patients were performed as an independent method of treatment, while in 49 cases they were combined with radiation and chemical therapy. The nearest and delayed results within the period of 1-16 years are studied. It is shown that organpreserving operations, which have been performed in compliance with rigid requirements, are of radical nature as an independent method. Such operations are recommended for patients with chondrosarcomas and fibrosarcomas, while the combined method - for patients with osteogenic sarcoma
