Effects of γ-irradiation on the optical properties of a-Ag7.5 (Sb0.3Ge0.1Se0.6)92.5 thin film

Description

The amorphous behaviour of Ag7.5(Sb0.3Ge0.1Se0.6)92.5 chalcogenide thin film deposited at room temperature on glass substrates by thermal evaporation process at vacuum pressure ∝10-3 Pa was examined using X-ray and electron diffraction techniques. The elemental chemical composition of thin film deposited on carbon stub was investigated via energy dispersive spectroscopy. The optical transmission and reflection spectra of as-deposited films and those exposed to different γ-doses were recorded at room temperature within the wavelength range 600-2500 nm. The dispersion of the refractive index for such films can be described in terms of the single-oscillator Wemple-DiDomenico model. (copyright 2007 WILEY-VCH Verlag GmbH and Co.
