Pulsed remagnetization of ferrite garnet films with a field present in the film plane

  • 1. AN SSSR, Moscow. Inst. Obshchej Fiziki

Description

Effect of the stationary magnetic field in the plane of the film Hp on pulse remagnetization of ferrite-garnet monocrystal films (MFFG) of (Bi, Tm)3(Fe, Ga)5O12 and (Bi, Lu)3(Fe, Ga)5O12 compositions was investigated. The specimen was magnetized in the initial state up to saturation by the bias field Hb. If Hp exceeds the effective field of anisotropy in the basic MFFG layer then MFFG remains in the monodomain state even at the absence of Hb. After application of the remagnetizing field the magnetization vector leaves the film plane, here, as the experiment shows, no dynamic domain structures are found and remagnetization time makes up < 10 ns
