Electron-impact excitation of triplet levels in helium

Description

It is argued that recent results of Showalter and Kay show a reasonable agreement (20%) with recent work of our group concerning the absolute values of the excitation cross sections. However, the analysis of the measured data performed by Showalter and Kay may introduce uncertainties into their triplet excitation functions, especially at higher energies
