Chromosome aberrations in the peripheral lymphocytes of thorium workers with low body burdens of 212Bi
Creators
Description
Cytogenetic analysis of 8 thorium workers and 3 controls has not shown a significant elevation in the level of chromosome breakage in the workers' peripheral lymphocytes. This finding is consistent with an estimate of the amount of damage to be expected in these cases, based on the level of chromosome breakage observed in Thorotrast cases with measured 212Bi burdens
