The concept of an enhanced-safety new-generation liquid-metal-cooled fast reactor
Description
The paper discusses the various advantages of the liquid-metal-cooled fast breeder reactor design and its elevated level of safety due to its self-protectedness. Design specifications are discussed, as are constraints on the unit power of the LMFBR imposed because of self-protectedness. Accident scenarios are investigated briefly
