Activation of low-percent Re-Al2O and Tc-Al2O3 catalysts of paraffin dehydrogenation

Description
The activity and selectivity of Re-Al2O3 and Tc-Al2O3 catalysts with low content of Re and Tc (0.1-1%) in dehydrogenation of n-dodecane increase with increase in the temperature of their activation in hydrogen from 500 degC to 900 degC. The activities of the catalysts prepared in this way are comparable with that of analogous aluminium-platinum systems, while the selectivities of n-monoolefin production with the former catalysts are higher than that for the latter
