Interaction of neptunium (7) with formate ions in alkaline media

Description
Method of spectrophotometry was used to study the influence of different factors on the rate of heptavalent neptunium reduction by formate ions in alkaline media (LiOH). It was established that reaction rate was described by the first order equation according to metal. Values of rate constants are presented. Activation energy, calculated according to k dependence on temperature in Arrhenius coordinates, was equal to (56±5) kJ/mol. The mechanism of neptunium (6) reduction by formate ions in alkaline media was outlined
