Description
Cubic-spline interpolants have been used to reduce the computational effort involved in calculating projected matrix elements evaluated with the finite-sum representation of the Hill-Wheeler angular-momentum-projection operator. Numerical results for angular-momentum-projected matrix elements of the hamiltonian operator for axially- as well as non-axially-symmetric solutions of the Hartree Fock equations in 28Si have also been obtained. Substantial savings in computer time have been achieved. (orig.)
