Theoretical study of SrS optical properties

Description
Using the method of linear associated plane waves, the SrS band structure is calculated self-consistently within the frames of electron density functional. On the basis of the state density values the imaginary part of the permittivity function is calculated in approximation of a constant matrix element and taking into account its accurate value. Strong energy dependence of the matrix element is considered, and it is shown that it should be taken into account in calculations of dielectrics optical characteristics
