Quantum mechanical tests of general relativity
Description
Since the general theory of relativity is a geometrical theory of gravity, it is clear that in order to test it, it is necessary to probe the geometry of space-time. The author considers two extremely sensitive probes. The first of these would utilize interference between neutron beams, or neutral beams in general. The second would use superconductors. In both cases, the most feasible experiment to test general relativistic effects seems to be the detection of the Lense-Thirring field of the earth. (Auth.)
