New Japanese vitrification plant due for 1992
Description
In June 1988 the construction was started of the Tokai Vitrification Facility (TVF), adjoining the Tokai Reprocessing Plant at Tokai Mura. The TVF will make use of liquid feed ceramic melter technology (LFCM). The unit will cost 38 billion Yen and is expected to be completed in 1991. (U.K.)
