Description

Components of the emission lines are found in the spectrum of the galaxy NGC 5929 nucleus from 6-m and 1.25-m telescopes observations Assuming the temperature o the emitting gas Tsub(e)=10sup(4) K the following parameters are estimated: the electron density nsub(e) approximately 400cm-3, the flux Fsub(Hβ) approximately 2.49x10-14 erg/cm-2xs and the luminosity Lsub(Hβ) approximately 3.85x1039 erg/s. The relative abundances of some ions are determined. The Lysub(c)-radiation of young hot stars appears to be the source of ionization of the gas in the galaxy nucleus. About one thousand 05V stars is necessary to maintain the ionization-recombination equilibrium. The heating of the gas by a shock wave as a mechanism of emission spectrum is not confirmed by the observational data
