Description

Two mechanisms of decoherence in internal states of trapped ions are studied, specially related to the experiment [Science 291 (2001) 1013]. Stochastic Hamiltonians are applied to follow the evolution of different states. The decoherence freedom of a subspace is discussed, and the experimental results reanalised
