Results of experimental study of electrophysical characteristics of polymer dielectrics under the effect of currents of ionizing vadiations and light are systematized. The general problems of generation, migration and recombination of excessive charge bearers with respect to peculiarities of the morphological structure of polymers, are discussed. The practical application of polymer dielectrics in field of radiation of different nature is considered
