Actinide sequestering agents: design, structural and biological evaluations

  • 1. Lawrence Berkeley Lab., Dept. of Chemistry, Chemical Science Div., CA (United States)

Description

Multi-dentate actinide sequestering agents have been developed using a bio-mimetic approach modelled on siderophores, naturally-occurring iron(III) sequestering agents. Described are the synthesis, structure, and solution thermodynamics and animal test results of new, more effective, actinide sequestering agents. (authors)
