The complex formation of copper with 3-methyl-1,2,4-triazol thiol in a medium of 5 mol/l HCl at 273-338 K

Description

The process of copper complex formation with 3-methyl-1,2,4-triazole thiol in a medium of 5 mol/l at 273-338 K has been studied by means of potentiometric method. Based on the data of potentiometric studies, it was shown that the interaction of copper ions with 3-methyl-1,2,4-triazole thiol in a 5 mol/l medium, stepwise complex formation occurs, during which four complex forms are formed, containing from one to four uncharged coordinated organic ligand molecules. The values of general and stepwise stability constants of 3-methyl-1,2,4-triazole thiol complexes of copper at 273-338 K were determined.The values of the thermodynamic functions of complex formation process in 3-methyl-1,2,4-triazole thiol-5 mol/l system were estimated. The equilibrium concentrations of heterocyclic organic ligand were found, the distribution diagrams of obtained 3-methyl-1,2,4-triazol thiol complex forms of copper, the areas of dominance and the maximum of the yield of one or another complex particle were constructed.
