Discussion on acidification method in mining area at an in situ leaching uranium deposit in Xinjiang

Description
In order to further enhance both the efficiency and effect of in-situ leaching uranium mining area acidification, direct acidification and pre-acidification method were employed in No.2 mining area acidification process at a sandstone uranium deposit. And comparison from aspects of acidification efficiency, uranium leaching effect and economic benefit of both combined method to the result of direct acidification used at No.1 mining area was carried out. The results shows that better leaching uranium acidification result was got at No.2 mining area and acidified efficiency was also improved, although the mineralization of No.2 mining area was worse than that of No.1. Based acidification practice of No.2 mining area, a new technology combining direct acidification and pre-acidification processes was put forward, which can provide reference for the future mining area acidifying process.
