Dynamic and thermal phenomena by boiling and cavitating at the scale of vapours bubble

Description

This thesis is concerned with two-phase flows in the case where the carrier phase is the liquid and the carried phase its vapour. It presents a systematic classification according to the properties of liquid and steam and following the hydrodynamic flow regime; this classification allows to determine the order of magnitude of the difference in temperature between the two phases, the characteristic time of the magnification, the orders of magnitude of the preponderant phenomena. An experimental study is conducted using strioscopy, differential interferometry and classical interferometry.

Abstract (French)

Etude des ecoulements diphasiques dans le cas ou la phase porteuse est le liquide et la phase transportee sa vapeur. Classification systematique suivant les proprietes du liquide et de la vapeur et suivant le regime d'ecoulement hydrodynamique. Cette classification doit permettre de determiner l'ordre de grandeur de la difference de temperature entre les deux phases, le temps caracteristique du grossissement, les ordres de grandeur des phenomenes preponderants. Etude experimentale par strioscopie, interferometrie differentielle et interferometrie classique.
