This photovoltaic recommendations guide has been designed to provide information and answers to elected representatives and entrepreneurs. It is also intended to help them choose sites that meet sustainable development criteria, and that are also compatible with their commune's membership of a Park. The Lorraine Regional Nature Park (PnrL) has a long tradition of supporting projects to develop new technologies, so that the facilities they require fit seamlessly into its exceptional territory. These include the High Speed Line, wind turbines, relay antennas for the cell phone network and, today, large-scale photovoltaic fields or solar panels installed on agricultural sheds and industrial buildings. Then there are the 'classic' infrastructures, both linear and punctual, such as extra-high-voltage power lines, roads and 2x2 lanes, as well as other Classified Installations for the Environment (ICPE)... The PnrL is the guarantor of a global vision of its area as part of a policy of sustainable development. Together with its member communes, and in consultation with petitioners, it aims to play an active role in the development of its territory. The Park naturally supports the development of all forms of renewable energy. However, because of the issues raised by the various forms of photovoltaics (economic and financial, landscape, natural, spatial, societal, etc.), the possible location of photovoltaic installations needs to be carefully considered. This photovoltaic recommendations guide is intended as a decision-making aid.
