A study of the response times of Super-Phenix hydrogen detectors applied to water leaks

Description

When reacting with sodium, water leaks result in hydrogen emanations the concentration of which can be measured through detectors. The SUPER-PHENIX steam generators are fitted with two sorts of hydrogen detectors: one in the sodium and one within the argon cover gas. The response of the detectors is calculated for water leaks occurring at the top side of the steam generators. The data which describe the leak occurrence came from experiments performed on EDF and CEA facilities
