Rare earth oxides as promoters of Mo-Bi catalysts for selective oxidation of olefins
- 1. Instituto de Catalisis y Petroleoquimica, Serrano, 119, 28006 Madrid
Description
The activity variation of silica supported Mo-Bi-Lanthanide oxide catalyst has been studied. The maxima of activity was observed when Ln = Ce, Pr, Tb, i.e. nonstoichiometric oxides are present. The detailed study of Mo-Bi/sub x/-Pr system shows that the difference in activity as function of catalyst composition (x = 0-0.5) can be related to total acidity change, bismuth molybdenum phase content and dispersion of these phase
