Description

Consideration is given to the asymmetries arising from the deep inelastic scattering of longitudinally polarized electrons and positrons with longitudinally polarized protons at ep collider energies. Information from such measurements will provide means for testing models of nucleon spin structure. The Carlitz-Kaur model of spin structure is used as a guide for estimating the behaviour of these asymmetries, which arise from the interference of the electromagnetic and neutral currents. (orig.)
