A facile photochemical synthesis of silver nanoparticles and dye degradation

  • 1. Department of Chemistry, St. Aloysius College Autonomous, Mangaluru (India)
  • 2. Radiation and Photochemistry Division, Bhabha Atomic Research Centre, Mumbai (India)

Description

Silver nanoparticles (SNp) have been synthesized using ultraviolet photolysis method. SNp have been characterized using its' surface plasmon absorption band, dynamic light scattering, and electron microscopy. Photochemical degradation of some dye molecules with the produced SNp have also been studied. (author)
