Solution of the one-dimensional Schroedinger equation for a double-well potential with finite walls
Description
The one-dimensional Schroedinger equation for the potential V(x)=-U0/cosh2αx-U1/cosh2α(x+a)+U2thαx is solved by the application of the general theory of three-term recurrence relations. The Schroedinger equation with the potential V(x) appears to be the Heun equation which is a Fuchsian type equation. 22 refs., 2 figs., 2 tabs. (author)
