Pion-nucleus scattering around the 3-3 Resonance

Description
The experimental knowledge of pion-nucleus scattering from 80 to 300 MeV is reviewed. The accuracy and the extent to which we may learn about nuclear structure from it are discussed. The recent improvement in our quantitative knowledge of the systematics of pion-nucleus reactions is indicated and the implications for an improved understanding of the pion- and Δ-nucleus explored
