Thermal hydromagnetic instability of a partially ionized medium
Description
Thermal instability of a finitely conducting hydromagnetic composite medium is studied to include the frictional effects with neutrals. The prevalent magnetic field is assumed to be uniform and vertical. The condition for nonexistence of overstability is investigated. The effect of magnetic field is found to be stabilizing on thermal instability of a composite medium. (Auth.)
