Radiation resistance of composite carbon-carbon materials after high temperature neutron irradiation
Description
A study was made on composite carbon-carbon texture based materials, differing by structure. The following characteristics of samples were determined before and after irradiation: density, bending and compressive strength, dynamic modulus of elasticity, thermal conductivity, specific electric resistance, thermal coefficient of linear expansion, lattice parameter. It is shown that irradiation of samples of different composite carbon-carbon materials at 1800-2300 K by 1x1020 neutr/cm2 fluence results to their shrinkage and decrease of specific electric resistance, conditioned by material compacting. Change of strength properties doesn't exceed 50 %
