Description
Based on the decay rate of orthopositronium and ge-2 for the electron, Samuel has suggested the existence of a new pseudoscalar with coupling to electrons α' = 2x10-8 and mass less than 5 keV. We demonstrate that this contradicts stellar models of the sun and horizontal branch stars. For the coupling required to explain ge-2 and positronium, we demonstrate that a mass of at least 34 keV (175 keV) is required to avoid ruining models of the sun (horizontal branch stars). (orig.)
