Chromosomal aberrations in lymphocytes of persons occupationally exposed to radiaton from 226Ra and 3H paints
- 1. Panstwowy Zaklad Higieny, Warsaw (Poland)
Description
Chromosomal aberrations in peripheral blood lymphocytes of 26 persons formerly employed as luminizers working with 226Ra paint have been studied. The significantly increased number of chromosomal aberrations in comparison with the control group value was observed. The yield of chromosomal abnormalities in lymphocytes of people who had ceased work with 226Ra nine years ago and those who ceased work with this paint at the time but are still employed as luminzers working with another paint (3H) was also compared.
