Role of urania as a promoter of supported rhodium in the catalyzed steam dealkylation of toluene

Description

The steam dealkylation of toluene was studied using platinum group catalysts with and without urania, and the results were tabulated. The Rh-Al2O3 catalyst promoted by urania proved to be the most effective catalyst. The effect of CO on the steam dealkylation for Rh catalyst and for Rh-UO3 catalyst was reported.
