Neutron activation determination of a number of accompanying elements in gold-mining formations

Description
Possibilities of neutron activation determination of some main and valuable concomitant elements in ores are investigated. For calculation of the element content in the process of sample irradiation by a californium source both relative method (Au, W) and absolute one with K0-factors use were employed. Detection limits for certain elements were obtained. It is shown that reproducibility of analyses for Au and W meets the requirements for accuracy category 3, and for As, Sb, La, Sm - categories 3 and 4. 8 refs.; 2 tabs
