Description
A preliminary sketch of a concept for an electron-beam-driven neutron generator has been developed. High-intensity photoneutrons (1016 n·s−1) were to be produced from a tungsten target through electromagnetic cascades by using 50-MeV electron beams. The physics study of the electron-beam-driven neutron generator, as well as the power dissipation in the target, is presented.
