Description
A digital electronics system has been installed in the GARIS-II readout system to study the decay properties of short-lived superheavy nuclei. We developed a pulse shape analysis method to separate pile-up preamplified signals within 1 μs, and obtained an energy resolution of 25 keV FWHM for 241Am alphas. Good linearity involving a wide energy range of 0–16 MeV was verified in an on-line experiment. (author)
