Normal-form approach for 1-D beam-beam interaction
Description
The divergency of Taylor expansion of beam-beam kick is very bad, this can be improved by expanding to Chebyshev polynomials. Base on this expansion, one can apply normal-form to beam-beam issue. This paper will give the formal solution of the normal-form for the 1-D beam-beam interaction. An example will be given to specify the efficiency of the Chebyshev polynomials. A possible application to the static 'strong-strong' beam-beam interaction will also be discussed. (author)
