Full text: The Beam Hole no.3(BHno.3) of the IEA-R1 Reactor of IPEN-CNEN, Sao Paulo was designed for research in Boron Neutron Capture Therapy (BNCT). This facility will be used for study of radiation-induced DNA damage. The increasing knowledge of the cellular response to radiation damage has contributed to further improvements in radiation therapy. In order to reduce the gamma contamination and have sufficient neutron fluxes for irradiation of DNA molecule, it will be necessary to collocate several neutron filters in the beam hole. The choice of the adequate filter arrangement was carried with Monte Carlo-4B code. Our propose is to irradiate DNA molecule with thermal, epithermal and fast neutron from BNCT Research facility at the IEA-R1m reactor. The obtained results of simulation will be shown in this paper.
