Observation of a New Resonance at ATLAS

Description
With the LHC increasing collision energies to √(s)=8TeV and delivering luminosity more rapidly than ever, searches for Higgs-like particles at the ATLAS experiment have reached the sensitivities required to detect the Standard Model Higgs boson across a broad range of possible masses. I discuss signals found in searches for Higgs boson decays to both two photons and to ZZ⁎ to four leptons, announced earlier in July, and present a new search for Higgs boson decays to WW⁎ with the 2012 data
